This Cisco WS-C2960X-48LPS-L is one of the best selling Cisco switches to date. The 2960-X Series Switches are fixed-configuration, stackable Gigabit Ethernet switches that provide enterprise-class access for campus and branch applications. These fully managed switches can provide advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 features as well as Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) power.
The WS-C2960X-48LPS-L is a 48 port PoE model from this product line. It provides up to 370W of power across 48 gigabit ports. In addition to the 48 gigabit access ports, the WS WS-C2960X-48LPS-L also has 4 1G SFP uplink ports. These ports support variety of SFPs, including copper and fiber models. This model ships with the LAN base feature set.
Because the 2960X series supports 802.3at and 802.3af PoE, the amount of power available per port varies depending on how many ports are in use. For example, WS-C2960X-48LPS-L can support up to 12 ports at 30W of PoE, or 24 ports at 15.4W. This allows for a variety of device types to be powered from the switch.
